Colorful highlights are so pretty in photographs. Not that they’re unappealing or lacking in real life, but they tend to be less wearable than our neutral tones. I’ve been loving the glittery pink glow given by Colourpop Cosmetics’ Super Shock Cheek in Over the Moon, so I decided to create a wearable look using this disco-worthy highlighter.
Bite Beauty is one of my favorite brands — they are innovative, on-trend, and skin-conscious. Using natural food-grade ingredients, Bite has released “Multisticks,” or products meant to be used as lip, cheek, and eye products (think NARS Multiples!), in a range of beautiful natural hues.
I was so excited to see them create a Prismatic Pearl line of Multisticks – they are amazing duochromatic, glittery washes of color that can be subtle or bold. I picked up the shade Oyster Pearl, described as “metallic taupe with silver shimmer.” Honestly, that shade description does not do this baby any justice! I see a lot of plummy-red and teal in the mix, making this a dynamic color that you probably don’t already have in your collection.
Stunning. I was so wowed by how multi-dimensional the shade looked both in the tube and swatched out. In texture, it’s thin and has a slight oily slip, but dries down to almost a powder-like finish. Keep in mind that if you’re oily, this will slide around, especially in the eyelid area.
I like how this product transforms based on what it’s layered on top of. You can really experiment and get different effects using just this one product!
The packaging is nice – Bite does a great job of creating sturdy, clean-looking, and minimalist components. I love the satisfaction of the magnetic closure on the tube! While it doesn’t seem like you get a lot of product for $24USD, the stick should take quite a long time to get through, even if you use it quite frequently. It’s compact, convenient, and easy to travel with.
A Minimal Look Using Oyster Pearl
Here’s a simple, glossy look using Oyster Pearl all over my eyelids and as a topper for the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow.
Don’t you love the way the light catches this gorgeous prismatic beauty? I love how easy it is to use, too.
5 Reasons Why You Need Oyster Pearl RIGHT NOW
- You have nothing like it in your collection.
- Bite is an awesome, clean makeup brand.
- You can use this product in at least 3 different ways (eyes, lips, + cheeks)
- You’re a lazy beauty-lover who also loves an edge
- You need a product that can transform products you already own
Have I convinced you yet? I sure hope so, because I’ve convinced myself to pick up every shade in the Prismatic Pearl collection. Hehe, whoops!

Very rarely do I find myself purchasing a non-neutral palette. Bright colors and experimental looks are not part of my everyday makeup arsenal. For me to splurge on a fun playtime eyeshadow palette, it has to meet certain criteria. The color selection has to be cohesive, the shadow quality has to be top-notch, and the packaging has to be both functional and visually appealing. Enter the Urban Decay x Kristen Leanne collab. I scored the Kaleidoscope Dreams eyeshadow palette and Beauty Beam highlighting palette for 50% off at my Sephora. After both watching Youtubers rave about the shadows and seeing beautiful swatches on all of my feeds, I decided that the collab lived up to my non-neutral palette standards.
I’ve been on a drugstore kick as of recent. When I received notification that I’d be getting a Covergirl Vox Box from Influenster, I was excited to see if I would find a new addition to my affordable makeup arsenal. The Vox Box included the Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Concealer in Fair, Healthy Powder in Classic Ivory, and Healthy Glow Highlighter in Starshine. So the burning question: is any of it good?
