Easy Makeup Looks for Resort Style Vacations: Orange Lips

When I am spending the whole day in relaxation mode, the last thing I want to do is bother with a full face of makeup. For nine days, I lived a wonderful life of luxury at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. After playing in the sun all day I wanted to keep my skin feeling fresh and healthy for a night of dinner and entertainment. I’ll be sharing some easy makeup looks that I loved wearing, as well as some great product recommendations that may make packing for your next beach vacation a little breezier! The first look is going to be hot and spicy: orange lips.

Sephora x Bite: Beauty Insider VIB Rouge Rewards Bazaar Unboxed

For a couple of years, I patiently tucked away all of my Sephora Beauty Insider reward points in hopes of cashing them in for something big. Seasons passed before I had realized how many points were in my little bank. I caught wind of a Bite reward redeemable for 2500 points that seemed pretty unique: it included a Baggu tote filled with three deluxe sized lip products as well as a cute Bite-branded bomber jacket.

Summer Beauty Essentials

Summer is almost here. With the warmer weather and brighter sunshine, I like to keep my makeup routine short and sweet. In addition to being simple, I want my makeup to last all day long so that I don’t find myself touching up or checking the mirror every few minutes. Here are my go-to products for a no-thought, lazy girl look.

TOO FACED PEACHES AND CREAM

This has to be about the 100000th time I’ve mentioned this line of products. Firstly, the packaging makes me swoon. More importantly, however, the products all work together to give me a beautifully soft complexion that does not BUDGE. I won’t exaggerate in my claims – the foundation alone will last all day long without breaking up or getting oily, but pair it with the primer, setting powder, and setting spray for makeup that will last all WEEK long.

If I had to pick just the bare essentials from this collection, I would have to go with the foundation and setting powder. These two are phenomenal on their own; I’ve used the foundation with other setting powders and the setting powder with other foundations. In every case, my makeup stays fresher and lasts longer.

summer beauty benefit hoola bronzer

GIVE ME SOME COLOR

Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer is my favorite matte bronzer. Just a little of this swept onto the perimeters of my face adds warmth, dimension, and tiny rays of emanating sunshine. It’s never patchy, either, so it just looks effortless on my skin.

I’ve also raved about the Multisticks from BITE Beauty about a hundred times. The shade Cashew is ideal for quickly adding a flush to the cheeks, color to the lips, and just a little life to the eyelids. What I love about the matte formula is that it’s extremely long-lasting, yet the cream formula makes it sink into the skin for a natural look. Easy, simple, and impactful. That’s my kind of product.

New Additions to My Growing BITE Beauty Collection

BITE Beauty has been growing on me. The first products I’d ever tried were the Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipsticks and I fell in love! I love the brand’s commitment to creating high-performing, on-trend products using “healthy” food-grade ingredients. The minimalist in me sings every time I see a new release! Anyway, I placed an order so that I could snag my Sephora BI Birthday Gift (coincidentally, a BITE set), and I decided to pick up the BITE Champagne Discovery Set as it was on sale for $29USD.

Can I just iterate that this set is $29USD and comes with three full-sized products? The Multistick in Cashew alone is worth nearly that much, and I’d been dying to try it. You may remember the love affair I documented with the Prismatic Pearl Mulstistick in Oyster Pearl.

How cute is this Taurus mug that was sent over from my #taurusszn Bestie? I’m a May baby and am truly stubborn as a bull.

I didn’t think it would be possible, but Cashew exceeds Oyster Pearl on the “products-I-love” scale. It’s the perfect nude color with warm orange undertones. I’ve been using it all over my face as a true multi-use product – eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick. It blends onto the skin so effortlessly, which is a surprise for a stick product. Usually, these tend to be waxy and hard in texture. Not the case with the BITE Multisticks – they are unbelievably creamy, soft, and blendable. Plus, though they are emollient, they dry down to a transfer-proof soft-matte finish.

To use this as a blush, I recommend warming it up on the back of your hand and then using a beauty sponge to blend it onto the cheeks.

Here’s swatches of the set. From left to right, the Lip Gloss in Champagne (metallic champagne with nude and gold shimmer), Lip Pencil in 036 (matte rose taupe), and Multistick in Cashew (matte rose taupe).

I’ve played with the Lip Gloss and Lip Pencil a little; they are both great! BITE has the best lip products if you like yours to be nourishing, moisturizing, and long-lasting. These are no exceptions.

What do you think of this set? I’ll be using these products quite a bit, both on their own and in tandem.
