Apartment Decor: Macramé and Modern Global Vibes

Ladies and gentlemen looking to decorate your homes on a budget, look no farther than Target. I caught wind of the Opalhouse brand and knew this was the style direction I wanted to take my apartment in. There are punchy colors, global-inspired patterns, and comfy fabrics in three different collections: Indochic, Canyon Sunrise, and Mallorca. I love each of these and the curated collections they inspire.

Opalhouse for Target

There are three distinct, yet totally compatible collections. As you can see, they all share that same beautiful color palette and sophisticated boho essence. I love the earthiness that ties the three collections together. I definitely am leaning towards the Canyon Sunrise collection as my foundational style. I love the soft pink tones and desert inspiration.

I’ll go through each collection and share the pieces I’m most interested in purchasing. I have noticed a lot of these items going on sale, so I am led to believe this collection may be leaving Target soon! Disclaimer: All photos are property of Target, used for your reference and convenience.

As described by Target, the Indochic collection is, “French-Vietnamese fusion, full of elegant shapes and sophisticated jewel tones.” I couldn’t agree more.

Okay, this is the collection I am most interested in. I love how laid back and comfortable, but still clean all of the pieces in this collection look. The muted pink colors and desert inspiration will look so nice with all of my minimal furniture.

What do you think of this collection? I just really enjoy natural-inspired decor, punchy (yet refined) colors, and a relaxed vibe. I also love how affordable everything is and the ease of availability! Thank you, Target.

Trending Style for Summer 2018: Rainbow Stripes

I’m going on a little vacation in a couple of weeks, so I’ve been especially interested in all of the summer style trends. All of the breezy and colorful pieces have caught my eye. I have absolutely been swooning over pastel rainbow stripes! There’s a one-piece swimsuit from Tularosa that I’ve seen Patricia Bright wear as a bodysuit under denim shorts that has sort of sparked my obsession with this pastel pattern. While I have a strange emotional attachment to this piece, it’s $178 — I can’t justify spending that on something I will likely wear one time. To quell this unrequited love, I’ve looked into some other more affordable alternatives that I want to share.

Trying on NEW Colourpop Lux Lipstick Shades

Colourpop always manages to put out AMAZING new products and collections at affordable prices. The Lux Lipsticks have received high reviews from bloggers and gurus alike, plus they come in super cute rose-gold packaging that lives up to the formula’s name. Let’s just say I took advantage of the opportunity and picked up 6; some are new shades from the Matte Lux formula range and some are from the original Cream formula line.

Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Concealer, Powder, and Highlight || Makeup Review & Try-On

I’ve been on a drugstore kick as of recent. When I received notification that I’d be getting a Covergirl Vox Box from Influenster, I was excited to see if I would find a new addition to my affordable makeup arsenal. The Vox Box included the Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Concealer in Fair, Healthy Powder in Classic Ivory, and Healthy Glow Highlighter in Starshine. So the burning question: is any of it good?  Continue reading “Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Concealer, Powder, and Highlight || Makeup Review & Try-On”

Morphe at Ulta – New Brushes and Drugstore Beauty Goodies

Okay, everyone’s heard of Morphe — you’ve probably heard about 500 influencers offering you their discount-affiliate code. Morphe is known for their super inexpensive eyeshadow palettes and makeup brushes. I’d always been hesitant to try the brand because it was available online only. Because they’re pretty inexpensive, I was worried they’d be low quality and I didn’t want to take the risk and buy them without having them in my hands first. When Morphe started introducing their products at Ulta, I got excited! Ulta has a great return policy, so even if the brushes turned out to be absolute crap, I had a failsafe. Keep reading to find out what I picked up from Morphe at Ulta, as well as some other drugstore makeup goodies! Continue reading “Morphe at Ulta – New Brushes and Drugstore Beauty Goodies”
