Eyebrows frame our faces. In fact, I dare to say that eyebrows have the transformative power to give our faces a new light. It’s quite fun to play with different eyebrow shapes and sizes, taking note of how each one changes our faces. I’ve been loving the big and bold look for my own eyebrows!
While I definitely add some volume to my natural brows, I don’t “overline” them too much. Just millimeters will make a massive impact that still looks natural.
As far as changing shape, I don’t alter much — I will try to keep them looking blockier by drawing straight lines and softening out the arch. This is honestly just what I find to be most flattering for me; play around with different techniques to find a shape and style that suit you.
My all-time favorite brow product is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Dark Brown ($23USD, Sephora.com). I’ve gone back to it time and time again because it’s so easy to use. This retractable brow pencil has a thicker triangular tip, making it a breeze to outline the shape and quickly fill in larger spaces. The color is also absolutely perfect for my complexion.
My application process is fairly technique-less. I’ll just line the bottom of my brows, move on to lightly lining the top, and then filling in the middle. The key is to use the spoolie to blend the creamy pigment out so that everything looks seamless.
What’s your favorite brow product? I wanna hear all about your eyebrow tips and tricks!
