Spring/Summer Beauty Wishlist + Inspiration

Okay, I’ve been seriously envying so many amazing new makeup + skincare products. Of course, this comes after deciding that I probably needed to cut back on spending. Instead of going out and buying everything, I’ll just share a list of all my beauty crushes for the new season with you guys.

Summer Fridays – Jet Lag Mask

This is supposedly one of those multi-tasking moisturizing mask products. I’m into it because I have eczema-prone, easily-irritated skin that drinks up moisture like it’s the desert. Mariah Leonard has an amazing “glass skin” makeup tutorial that uses this product as a base — I’ve been using my Origins Drink Up mask as an alternative, but this mask looks like it really packs in a beautiful sheen.

Unfortunately, the mask is available online only at Sephora and is currently sold out.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Creamsicle

Okay, this highlighter is stunning. I was super hesitant about an orange-based highlight at first, but this looks like the perfect warm-toned glow for all skin tones. I have a hard time finding a nice warm highlight that isn’t gold and this one may be the one.

Sunday Riley “The Influencer” Clean Long Wear Foundation

Pretty much everything from Sunday Riley would make it onto my wishlist. Anyway, I’m very intrigued about this foundation. I know the brand is loved for its amazing skincare, so I’m assuming that this foundation would be breathable and skin-friendly. Foundations tend to smother my skin and this product seems to address that discomfort. Fresh skin is totally on my radar for the upcoming warm seasons, too.

Colourpop “The Main Stage” Eyeshadow Collection

Inspired by the colorful summer festival season, this new collection of pressed powder shadows from Colourpop has me drooling. I’ve been really loving the way bold and bright colors look tossed onto the lid in sort of a color-blocked fashion. What I love about Colourpop’s pressed shadows in particular is that they are affordable, high-quality, and very on trend. This collection is a steal; you get 24 full-sized pans plus a large magnetic palette that you can re-use with other shadows.

Smashbox + Vlada Petal Metal Highlighter

Truth be told, this collaboration from Smashbox totally caught me off guard. I had no idea it was even in the works but I will definitely tell you I’m here for it. The entire collection is poured metal dreams, inspired by floral motifs. I’m a sucker for rosegold anything, especially for a beautiful summer glow, so I’m this close to adding everything from the collection to my cart. This close.

The Minimalist Beauty Trend

Okay, as a lazy  minimalist beauty lover, the “easy” makeup trends for the spring/summer seasons are so up my alley. From monochromatic color palettes, multi-use products, and little pops of statement, I’m so inspired to create something special and deliberate out of minimal product.

Glitter Liner + Nude Face

I love how the twinkle of glitter liner brings a nude face to life. I used the Stila Cosmetics Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in shade “Smoldering Satin” to create a beautiful glitzy stare.

Finger Painted Eyelids

I used Colourpop pressed shadow in Mischief from the Yes, Please palette all over my lid. To add a pop of dimension and brightness, I topped it with NARS Bionic. This lazy makeup look totally looks effortless and chic, plus it makes quite a statement without being too loud.

Multi-Stick Monochromatic Looks

I love how gorgeous the Bite Beauty Prismatic Multistick in “Oyster Pearl” looks all over my face. It’s a unique color with really cool duochromatic shifts. The Bite multisticks are mean to be worn anywhere on the face, but I really like wearing it all over the face. I use my fingers to dab it onto my eyes and lips for an effortless sparkle.

What’s on your wishlist for the upcoming season? It’s been so hard to keep up with all of the new products being released, so I apologize if some of these are old news.
