So Rihanna has officially broken the internet– at least in the beauty world. Her newest line has just released after quiet hints and much suspense, and I have to say I am very intrigued. It may be a minimal line, but I think the products that she has developed are truly worth looking into. I definitely have a few things I want to try as soon as more reviews come out.
Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Trophy Wife
This is the most unique highlight I have seen thus far. It’s this gorgeous gold pigment with glimmering sparkles, so you can definitely use it for a striking cheek highlight or as a blinding eyeshadow.
I love how Rihanna has taken the time to choose shades for diverse skin tones. It definitely reflects in the way the products perform, and it’s obvious that she looks stunning in her products as well. My only qualm is that I don’t use highlighters on a regular basis and that this one retails for $34USD at Sephora. That being said, this really is a unique product and you can get away with using it in so many different ways.
Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation
I’ve heard that this foundation truly looks like skin. Right now, I’m super into the MUFE Ultra HD Liquid Foundation. It’s so thin that it wears like skin, but provides all the blurring and perfecting that I look for in a base. This one looks like it is similar in formula, and from what I understand, it’s a little bit cheaper. It *supposedly* mattifies in all the right places, and glows exactly where you want it to. Here’s a nice review with photos. I’ll wait until I use up more of my MUFE, but I’ll probably be springing for Fenty in a few weeks.
The other brushes in the collection I can definitely do without. I’ve seen so many reviews where people were truly impressed with how this brush applies, so I’m more curious than anything. I used to be such a Beauty Blender fiend, but I’ve switched to a buffing brush for a closer-to-skin application. Maybe I’ll find something I like about this one!
Are you as in love with the packaging as I am? I adore the color, simplicity, and convenience of the magnetic packaging. Just based on reviews available now, the products seem to be super high performing. The foundation has surprised a lot of people, and I think it’s at a relatively lower price point for the high-end foundation range.
Let me know if you’ve tried any Fenty beauty products. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
